How to find great iPod/iPhone apps

With the arrival of the iPad, I was reenergized and found that I needed to find some great apps. Here is a great web 2.0 site that categorizes iphone apps and allows users to create lists. This is a perfect example of why we need to use tags. This website allows us to search by tags. Happy searching!

I will post at another time to let you know what I found!

Google Forms

Did you know that you can collect all kinds of data using Google Forms. For example, after any learning experience, you can have the students place one thing they learned on a form and have a ton of qualitative data as well as an assessment of how your lesson went. One section on the form can be their name and another could be what they learned. Try it!

Here's mine:

A Huge Multimedia Resource

Here is a site I stumbled on while doing some of my classwork. It is very comprehensive and I bookmarked it right away! When you look up your topic area, there are videos, quizzes, photos and links to more information. It helps to organize information for students. I would use it often!

Check it out!

Many of these videos are on YouTube and can be downloaded and put onto ipods. I know that I have spent a ton of time searching YouTube for quality videos for different areas of the curriculum, but here they are all in one place.

Also, the students can create a presentation from pictures on that topic found on Flickr.

A New Place to Share Ideas

I am planning on using this space to share new ideas on how technology can be integrated into the K-5 curriculum. Check back often for new ideas.

(I need somewhere to write these ideas down...They can't keep swimming around in my head!)
